Description: The Afador is not a purebreed dog. It is a cross between the Afghan Hound and the Labrador Retriever. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

I grew up with afghans. I hunt with labs. You better know exactly what an afghan 'is' before you get involved. They are not an easy breed. Even when mixed - they have some quirks that ain't gonna be bred away easily. They are NOT for everyone.

I,ve got an Afador, and can say he is very stubborn and a bit hard to handle. But he would never harm anyone.
